GameTube is the most interesting way to learn Scratch coding with interactive sensors such as a DIY version of Nintendo Wii.

Software education is becoming more and more major issue around the world now. As an engineer myself, I tried to teach my 9-year-old daughter programing with Scratch. This made me to look for the better way to make my child more interested in coding. Then I came up with a great idea which is to make games through coding and communicating with the real world. Which is called ‘GameTube’.
What is GameTube?
GameTube is a control device composed with several input sensors and Arduino board, the open source hardware. You can connect GameTube controller with Scratch software by USB cable or wirelessly as well. Scratch is a free software to educate everyone coding developed by MIT Media Lab, so this is an ideal combination of both open source hardware and software to learn or teach coding someone else.
At the same time, you can download and take advantage of more than about 6million contents of Scratch as well. This will motivate you to create your own games or contents and upload later. Since Arduino, the hardware board itself is an open source too, you can DIY, learn and teach about hardware as you want through this.
- There are two forms of products of GameTube Joy pad (with wire), Mobile pad (wireless)
Wind sensor, distance sensor, and accelerometer are modularized so can be switched according to the taste of users.

- Wearable and DIY : Design the ways to play creatively
Mobile pad is a wearable input device so you can put this on your body or can be installed on anything such as gun or stick as well. And you can modify or update the Arduino hardware of this device too. This will stimulate, motivate and inspire a lot in terms of creativity of children.
