MAISON&OBJET is the major event for professionals working in the art of living in all its rich and varied expressions. The lifestyle show brings together a 360°product offering. Decoration, design, furniture, accessories, textiles, fragrances, the world of children, tableware… The styles coexist in a multifaceted way, throughout the inventive show design which enlivens the spaces. This extraordinary diversity is in line with the varied expectations of global markets. With each session, the great lifestyle platform, at the intersection of business and creativity, reveals solutions to visitors from around the world in search of uniqueness.

NoTag met worldwide distributors and resellers like MOMA in New York City, HABITAT in London but also MERCI in France and more.

PAPERO BEAN is the only domestic pure technology product participated, planned, and manufactured by Korea’s leading design exhibition designers and uses eco-friendly papers and soy inks which are nonpoisonous to human body. PAPERO has adopted a method of removing the pieces of paper from the form board and piecing the model together by inserting and fitting the bits of paper together instead of using a knife, glue or other potentially harmful tools.  The systematic difficulty levels and assembly methods of PAPERO products can help users improve their intellectual, concentrative and creative powers. Users can create their own PAPERO product by painting them freely. (http://www.paperobean.com/)

Thanks to the quality of their products and mainly the design, PAPERO won the GOODDESIGN Award.

NoTag & Rainy pot at London Design Festival

NoTag & Rainy Pot joined the London Design Festival in 2014

* Photo 100 % design_London Design Festival

The London Design Festival is the most vivid possible proof that London is the hub of the creative industries in the world" Boris Johnson, Mayor of London. The London Design Festival is an annual event, held 'to celebrate and promote London as the design capital of the world, and as the gateway to the International creative community.’ Over nine days in September 2014, the London Design Festival featured hundreds of events which took place across London, showcasing the city's pivotal role in global design.

NoTag have participated to this festival with the designer Dailylife Lab. The RainyPot is also available in 10 different countries.

Rainy Pot is a wall-hung flowerpot with a cloud-shaped water filter. It allows the plant within to be watered by ‘raindrops’. It is simple to use Rainy Pot. Just pour some water into the opening on the top of the cloud, and ‘raindrops’ will fall through small holes in its base and onto the plant below. The gentle effect of raindrops is less stressful for the plant than having a torrent of water poured on it from a cup, for example. Indoor plants tend to have weak and shallow roots. When too much water is provided, the plants can become stressed and the roots can decompose. Furthermore, the plant does not need to be taken outside for watering as is the case with large watering cans (which can make a mess via spillage). There is also an emotional benefit. Rainy Pot mimics the natural weather system, which can be soothing to grownups and educational for children. Rainy Pot can also contribute to one’s interior deco-ration scheme.

B2ST’s main vocalist, Yang Yoseob, lived up to his title as “ginyeom-dol” (who is concerned about social issues) recently when he was pictured wearing a unique bracelet in a Twitter updated. “Morning practice,” the idol tweeted on April 13 along with a selca taken in practice room. What caught people’s attention is the New Kit bracelet he wore in the picture. The bracelet, which is understood to symbolize animal awareness, went viral and invited a lot of praises towards the singer. Netizens left numerous comments of praise including: “I heard about that bracelet. Yoseob indeed has a beautiful heart”, “As expected from ginyeom-dol”, and “Beautiful bracelet for beautiful heart”. However, this is not the first time Yoseob has caught people’s attention with his bracelet. He previously earned millions of good praises after he was spotted wearing a fans’ gift bracelet for supporting comfort for women, and also wearing another bracelet in support of fight against poverty in under-developed countries.  Meanwhile, Yoseob is currently busy preparing for his “Full House” musical and new Korean album with B2ST. (Source _ http://www.ttwigo.com/idols/beast/post/yoseobs-new-bracelet-attracts-attention/)

Paperobean's miniature paper Space Shuttle lifts off

Paperobean's miniature paper Space Shuttle lifts off

Never mind your folded A4 plane: here's the Papero Space Shuttle. This card model is one of several miniature machines you can craft yourself from pre-cut recycled paper. The range, produced by Paperobean, a design company based in Seoul, South Korea, also includes a motorcycle, a school bus, a train and a helicopter -- with rotating blades.
"There are many paper products and miniature toys on the market but few have such exquisite details," says Kang-Kook Kim, head designer at Paperobean. "The product's aim is to give users both the pleasure of assembly and the visual delight of these exposed paper structures," he adds. "I like to describe it as a kidult toy -- they can be built without scissors, knives or glue. To complete the products, users have to consider where each piece has to be placed in the overall design; for children it's a way to understand 3D structure." A bit like an Airfix model, then, only without the part where you glue your fingers together.

THE HUMAN FACTOR (Hayward Gallery, London, UK)

THE HUMAN FACTOR (Hayward Gallery, London, UK)

The Human Factor: The Figure in Contemporary Sculpture brings together major works by 25 leading international artists who have fashioned new ways of using the human form.
Spanning the past 25 years, The Human Factor focuses on artists who use the figure as a means for exploring far-ranging concerns. Compelling and thought-provoking, their work brings into play ideas about history, voyeurism, sexuality and violence, while reflecting on how we represent the ‘human’ today.
At the same time, the artists in The Human Factor pointedly revisit and update classical traditions of sculpture, while drawing on representations of the human body in contemporary popular culture. Inventively remixing past and present, they transform that most familiar form – the human body – in ways that surprise, unsettle and engage us.
Highlighting remarkably varied approaches, The Human Factorfeatures super-realistic portraits as well as sculptures that change over time and others that evince an uncannily indeterminate presence, hovering ghostlike between object and image. Yet whether overtly theatrical or quietly intimate, all of the works in this exhibition involve us in encounters that aim to change the way we think about and perceive art’s oldest subject: the human form.
Contributing artists: Pawel Althamer, Frank Benson, Huma Bhabha, Maurizio Cattelan, Urs Fischer, Katharina Fritsch, Ryan Gander, Isa Genzken, Rachel Harrison, Georg Herold, Thomas Hirschhorn, Martin Honert, Pierre Huyghe, Jeff Koons, Paul McCarthy, John Miller, Cady Noland, Ugo Rondinone, Yinka Shonibare MBE, Thomas Schütte, Paloma Varga Weisz, Mark Wallinger, Rebecca Warren, Andro Wekua and Cathy Wilkes.

'This is the most compelling selection of contemporary art I have seen for years. A real sizzler of a show. Soon after I walked in, I wrote down two words in my notes: 'visceral' and 'witty'. Then I underlined them. Later, I added 'impeccably presented'.' Waldemar Januszczak (The Sunday Times)
